AGDA Poster Annual 2011 Finalist!

Sean Walsh was a finalist in the AGDA Poster Annual 2011. The theme for the Poster Annual was “Inspired by Music”. Entrants were invited to be inspired and interpret this theme however they wished. Joy Division’s song Atmosphere was the inspiration behind Sean’s poster. Sean first came across Joy Division when he was studying graphic design. Sean stated he is “involuntarily taken back to my first year at university whenever I hear this song”. With this in mind he wanted to get back to the fundamentals of design and use only primary design elements to construct his poster. The selected finalist posters were exhibited at the Gaffa Gallery, Sydney from October 20 2011.
